Barack Obama’s 60th Birthday Bash on Martha’s Vineyard is going to be LIT.
Helping the 44th President celebrate the milestone occasion along with his family are luminaries like Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Bruce Springsteen, and more. Guests are being asked to take a COVID-19 test before attending the soiree. The former President and his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, have also publicly advocated for all American citizens to get a COVID-19 vaccine.
Obama, who turns 60 on Wednesday, has a long history of throwing some pretty off-the-hook parties in the past. Five years ago, the president’s 55th birthday party at the White House included guests such as Magic Johnson, Stevie Wonder, Ellen DeGeneres, and Paul McCartney. When he turned 50 in 2011, he hosted musicians Jay-Z and Stevie Wonder, actor Tom Hanks, comedian Chris Rock, and basketball legends Charles Barkley and Grant Hill.
That party featured performances in the East Room by the likes of Ledisi, Herbie Hancock, and Wonder and was said to carry into the following day with guests eating barbecue and dancing.

The Obamas have invited dozens of their nearest and dearest to their summer home which sits on nearly 30 acres on the island of Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts. They purchased the retreat in 2019 for $11.75m, according to real estate records.
