Oath Keepers Leader Calls for ‘Desperate,’ ‘Bloody War’ to Avenge Donald Trump’s Election Loss
Oath Keepers leader Stewart Rhodes called upon President Donald Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act and declare martial law to prevent Joe Biden from being sworn in as the next president of the United States at a Saturday rally on Washington, DC’s National Mall.
Stewart said that if Trump fails to deliver the goods, he and his organization will “have to do it ourselves later” in a “bloody war.” He also demanded that Trump pardon Wikileaks founder Julian Assange so that Assange can expose the “traitors” who rigged the 2020 election:
SOCOM that goes [to] seize all the files, all the databases, and he’s a free Julian Assange. And put him in charge of doing a data dump to display to all of you all the skeletons out of the closet into the streets, show the world who the traitors are, and then use the Insurrection Act to drop the hammer on them. And all of us veterans who swore that oath until you’re age 65, you can be called up as the militia to support and defend the Constitution. He needs to know from you that you are with him, [and] that if he does not do it now while he is commander in chief, we’re going to have to do it ourselves later, in a much more desperate, much more bloody war. Let’s get it on now while he is still the commander in chief.
The “traitors,” however, are the people threatening to launch a second civil war.
Plotting to overthrow the United States government is an act of sedition, a serious federal felony punishable with fines or a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
