New Book: Epstein Was A Member, Not a Guest, At Mar-A-Lago
Another week, another bombshell book about Donald Trump hitting the virtual shelves. While his niece Mary Trump has sold more copies of her tell-all in less than a month than he has of all his books combined in 32 years, “The Grifter’s Club: Trump, Mar-a-Lago, and the Selling of the Presidency”, reveals that Jeffrey Epstein was a member, not just a guest, at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property in Florida, which had been denied by the Trump Organization.
Trump had previously claimed that Epstein was merely an occasional guest, but a membership log uncovered by the book’s authors showed Epstein listed among the members, with his Palm Beach mansion listed as the address of record.
Co-author Nicholas Nehamas, a reporter for the Miami Herald, also reveals why Epstein was kicked out of Mar-A-Lago in 2007: “Previously reported court records state that Trump banned Epstein from visiting the club for an alleged sexual assault on a girl,” he said. “We were told the young woman was the daughter of a member and Trump kicked his friend out to protect Mar-a-Lago’s brand. Because the club’s membership is a closely guarded secret, no one has known the full extent of Epstein’s ties to Mar-a-Lago until our reporting.”
This is not the first time Trump has been caught in a lie regarding his friendship with Epstein, who famously died in prison last year while being held without bail on charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking. His co-conspirator, Ghislaine Maxwell, is now also in custody and has pled guilty to similar charges.
