Never Forget: Watch Donald Trump Brag That 9/11 Attack Gave him the Tallest Building in Downtown NYC
September 11th stands as a day of somber remembrance for all Americans. This morning many are taking to social media to share their recollections of the 9/11 terrorist attack. This includes the President who sent a tweet noting that he will never forget the events of that fateful 2001 day.
Donald Trump’s words, however, were much different on September 11th, 2001. And like his recent interviews with Bob Woodward, they were caught on tape. On the same day the terrorist attack occurred, Trump was on television bragging that he now had the tallest building in downtown Manhattan.
A host from New York’s New 9 asked the then businessman, “You have one of the landmark buildings down in the financial district, 40 Wall St. Did you have any damage? What’s happened down there?”
Trump responded, “Well it was an amazing phone call. 40 Wall Street was the second tallest building in downtown Manhattan. And actually, before, the World Trade Center was the tallest. And then when they built the World Trade Center it became known as the second tallest. And now it’s the tallest.”

We didn’t need Bob Woodward’s tape to tell us that @realDonaldTrump couldn’t care less whether thousands of his fellow Americans live or die.
Because we already had this:pic.twitter.com/fausCYHYYG
