Navy Captain Booted For Caring About Sailors’ Lives Receives Huge Ovation From Crew
For whatever reason, U.S. Navy Captain Brett Crozier felt protecting the lives of 4,000 sailors on the USS Theodore Roosevelt aircraft carrier, among the US military’s largest coronavirus outbreak thus far, was far more important than protecting our fake president’s real ego.
Much like any decent and competent official who exposes the corruption and criminal incompetence of the Trump Administration, Crozier was relieved of his command.
Notwithstanding Crozier’s tragic and unjust firing, he was welcomed by a raucous round of cheers and applause by his fellow sailors. Videos captured on social media and sites like Stars and Stripes show sailors shouting “Captain Crozier” for Capt. Brett Crozier as he departed the ship.

As of Thursday, a whopping 114 sailors on board the Roosevelt had tested positive for COVID-19, which is what prompted Crozier’s letter to Navy officials and which leaked on Tuesday.
In his letter, Crozier vigorously warned that the tight quarters on board the ship compromised the safety of the crew. He politely requested that leadership offload most of the sailors on the ship in order to allow for social distancing and sanitizing the ship.
As of right now, more than 60,000 people have signed a Change.org petition calling for Crozier’s reinstatement.
