Murdoch Son Blasts Father’s Fox News Network Over Climate Change Denial

Many Conservatives have long taken issue with the idea of climate change. This belief goes all the way to the top with the President. Donald Trump frequently mocks the idea of climate change. He also went on a bullying campaign against Swedish climate activist.

A number of hosts on the Fox News network also present themselves as climate skeptics. The network received a recent stinging rebuke from James Murdoch, whose Father Rupert is the owner of the channel.

Among the network’s skeptics is host Tucker Carlson. He once claimed that only 2% of the population is “most concerned about climate change.” He also once said, “more people were killed last year in the United States by illegal aliens than were killed by climate change.”

Laura Ingraham recently said, “celebrities in the media have been pressing the narrative that the wildfires in Australia are caused by climate change.”

Comments like this stick in the craw of James Murdoch who is active in fighting climate change. Murdoch is particularly concerned with the fires as he is a native Australian.

A spokesperson for James and his wife Kathryn told the Daily Beast, “Kathryn and James’ views on climate are well established and their frustration with some of the News Corp and Fox coverage of the topic is also well known.”

The statement continued, “They are particularly disappointed with the ongoing denial among the news outlets in Australia given obvious evidence to the contrary.”

Fox has yet to comment on the statement from James Murdoch.
