Former Trump associate Roger Stone admits, himself, that he may soon be indicted by Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Stone seems to have become one of the main focuses in Mueller’s investigation into Russian election interference and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.
Now, NBC reports that Mueller has evidence in his possession that suggests that conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi (known as the ‘Birther King’) and Roger Stone may have had direct knowledge of hacked Democratic emails obtained by WikiLeaks, prior to those emails being released.
According to NBC’s source, Robert Mueller’s team has seen messages sent to members of the Trump team in which Roger Stone and Jerome Corsi seemingly take credit for the release of the emails.
You may recall that Roger Stone seemed to predict WikiLeaks’ release of Hillary Clinton’s emails when he tweeted about an “October Surprise” and said that Hillary Clinton would be “done” after the WikiLeaks reveal. Stone, however, has consistently downplayed any relationship he had with WikiLeaks’ founder Julian Assange.
It is unlikely we will see any major action by Robert Mueller prior to election day (November 6), but there is no telling if or when Roger Stone and/or other Trump associates could be indicted.
