Unbelievable

After seeing her daughter's hair, Susan couldn't believe her eyes. Her last visit to the salon had been just a few days ago. The hairstyle her daughter wanted cost her a lot of money.

She brushed her fingers through the little girl's hair as tears flowed down her cheeks. Her teacher had done this to her, and she couldn't believe it. It was imperative that she take action.

She Felt Beautiful

Her friends at school were beyond excited when Melanie first showed off her new hairstyle after having her hair done. The blonde locks on her head had been curled perfectly, and her mom had blow-dried her bangs.

The transformation she had undergone was absolutely amazing, and she couldn't wait to show it to her teacher, Mrs. Mulaney.

Excitement

During her drive to Melanie's school, Susan was smiling from ear to ear. In describing how soft her hair felt, the little girl could not stop combing her fingers through it. She was eager to hear all about it from her young daughter once she got home.

She returned home after dropping Melanie off at school. Before her daughter came home from school, she needed to complete some chores.

Waiting Patiently

Despite the fact that it was a long day, it went by quickly. The neighbor usually drove Melanie home on Mondays since their kids went to the same preschool. When Susan heard the front door open, she was preparing her daughter's lunch.

As Melanie walked into the kitchen, Susan smiled happily and placed the lunch on the table. As the little girl sat around the table, a hood covered the top of her head, but Susan didn't pay much attention to it.

Staying Silent

While Melanie stared at her sandwich, Susan called to her little girl, "Hello honey," as she sat beside her. “How was school? Did your friends like your hair?”

While the little girl bit into her sandwich, Susan patiently waited. Watching the plate before her, she chewed slowly without lifting her head. However, she did not respond.

Tears

Susan realized there was something wrong only then. “Melanie, honey? Are you okay?” She spoke gently to the little girl, but she still refused to speak or even look at her mother. There was something terribly wrong.

It wasn't long before she heard the small sobs of her daughter. How could this have happened? Is she being bullied or hurt by someone?

Anger

After dropping her sandwich on her plate, Melanie hugged her mother tightly as tears rolled down her cheeks. In spite of not knowing what was going on, Susan hated seeing Melanie in this state.

“What’s wrong?” She asked sadly, holding the little girl closely. When Melanie pulled away, her puffy red face was revealed to her mother. When Susan saw the little girl remove the hood, she couldn't believe her eyes. The woman was furious.

A Loving Mother

Susan Jones was a loving and dedicated mother. Her world made sense the moment her daughter, Melanie, was born. Her destiny to become a mother was always clear to her.

As an intelligent little girl, Melanie was ecstatic when it came time to go to preschool.

The Big Move

One of the best things that has ever happened to their family was moving to Tempe, Arizona. Their daughter, Melanie, attended one of the country's best preschools, and their family lived in an idyllic neighborhood.

The family moved halfway across the country because Austin, the man of the house, was a successful businessman. A horrible thing happened to the Jones family soon after moving to their new town.

All She Wanted

Susan took Melanie to the salon to get her hair done. She was just entering her first Taylor Swift phase, and she was determined to look like her idol. She wanted to layer on her long blonde hair, but most of all, she wanted bangs!

Melanie's wish was granted by Susan with great pleasure. Having the freedom to express herself however she wanted was important to her.

It Was Perfect

Susan and Melanie spent one Saturday afternoon at the salon, getting the little girl’s hair done. It came out perfectly, and she was beside herself with excitement. She couldn’t wait to show all of her friends at school.

When Monday morning finally rolled around, Susan happily drove her daughter to school. But she had no idea what would happen just hours later.

Coming Home

The day went by surprisingly fast. On Mondays, Melanie usually got a ride home from the neighbor, since their children went to the same preschool. Susan was in the process of prepping her daughter’s lunch when she heard the front door open.

She smiled happily, placing the lunch on the table as Melanie walked into the kitchen. A hood covered the top of the little girl’s head as she took a seat around the table, but Susan didn’t think much about it at first.

Not A Word

“Hey,” Susan kissed the side of her daughter’s face as she sat down beside her, but Melanie didn’t say anything in response. All she did was stare down at her sandwich. “How was school? Did your friends like your new hair?” Susan tried again.

She waited patiently for a response, but instead, the little girl began eating her lunch, not saying a word.

Something Was Wrong

That’s when Susan finally realized that something was wrong. “Melanie, honey? Are you okay?” She spoke gently to the little girl, but she still refused to say a word or even look at her mother. It was clear that something was terribly wrong.

Melanie’s small body began shaking as soft sobs fell from her lips. Susan’s heart dropped. What was wrong with her daughter?

Was She Bullied?

At first, she suspected that it had something to do with bullying or getting hurt. After all, Melanie was getting to the age where kids became mean. She wanted answers so that she could solve the problem at hand.

“Did someone do something to you at school? Do you want me to call your teacher?” The worried mother asked, but Melanie shook her head as more tears fell.

She Hated This

Melanie finally dropped her sandwich and turned to face her mother, hugging her tightly as tears poured down her cheeks. Susan didn’t know what was going on, but she hated seeing Melanie like this.

“What’s happened?” She asked sadly, holding the little girl closely. Melanie pulled away and looked up at her mother, revealing her puffy red face. But Susan couldn’t believe her eyes when the little girl pulled the hood off of her head. She was livid.

It Was All Ruined

Susan stared at her daughter with wide eyes, unable to hide her surprise as her daughter revealed her hair. Long gone were her gorgeous, blonde locks. Her hair was short and choppy, and her bangs had been cut off by the roots. It was all ruined.

It had been just a few days since she had taken her to the salon. She spent a lot of money to give her daughter the hairstyle she wanted. But who could’ve done this?

Who Did It?

Tears poured down the little girl’s cheeks as Susan combed her fingers through what was left of her beautiful head of hair. Melanie had always taken a lot of pride in her appearance, she was just like her mother in that sense.

“Who did this? Was it one of the kids at school?” She asked, worried for her young daughter. But Melanie shook her head. “It was Mrs. Mulaney,” She revealed, referring to her very own teacher.

She Had To Do Something

Susan was speechless. What on earth was going on? Why did her teacher think that it was okay to cut her hair? Melanie wiped at her soaked cheeks and sniffled loudly. “The teacher said that my hairstyle was too mature for a little girl, and then she cut it.”

Susan’s blood was boiling. In all her life, she had never heard of anything like this before. She knew that she had to do something about this.

Hats

But before she could do anything about it, Susan had to help her daughter. As soon as Melanie finished her sandwich, they headed out to buy the little girl a bunch of cute hats. She would have to wear them until some of her hair grew back.

Susan let her buy any hats she wanted. She knew that Melanie needed a confidence boost, and this was the only way she could get it.

The Damage

Susan couldn’t just let this go. She knew that she had to confront the woman who did this to her daughter, but she also had to report this to the school. Who did this woman think she was? She had done months’ worth of damage.

That night, she plotted her revenge. She knew just how to get justice for her daughter, and she wasn’t going to rest until this situation was sorted.

Angrier Than Before

The next morning, Susan drove Melanie to school once again. The little girl’s hair was hidden under a pink beanie, which she seemed to love. But Susan was somehow even angrier than she was the day before.

She kept wondering why the woman would do something so cruel to a little girl. Was she jealous, or was she just being cruel? Susan was about to find out.

Ready For Battle

As soon as they reached the school, Susan parked the car and stepped out with her daughter. They walked hand in hand toward Melanie’s classroom and Susan was ready for battle.

When they entered the room, Mrs. Mulaney was sitting behind her desk with her feet propped up on her desk. As soon as she spotted Melanie and Susan walking through the door, her feet dropped from the desk.

Flustered

With red cheeks, she quickly stood up from her desk. “Mrs. Jones, what brings you here?” She asked, clearly flustered. Susan instructed Melanie to have a seat before she requested to see the teacher outside.

With her head hung low, the slightly younger woman followed Susan outside. From the look on her face, Susan could tell that she was scared. She was about to teach her a valuable lesson.

If Looks Could Kill

“How can I help you, Mrs. Jones,” The teacher stammered over her own words, noticing the deep frown between Susan’s eyebrows.

“Over the weekend, I had Melanie’s hair cut. Would you care to explain to me why you thought you had the right to cut it yourself?” She folded her arms over her chest. If looks could kill, the teacher would be a pile of ashes on the floor.

Intimidating

Mrs. Mulaney’s expression changed in the blink of an eye, and now, her eyes had hardened. She looked down on Susan as she folded her arms over her chest, trying to appear intimidating.

“Her hairstyle went against our dress code. Her fringe was in her eyes, and her hair looked messy. I did what I had to do so that she wouldn’t get into any trouble with the principal.” She said harshly.

The Audacity

Susan couldn’t believe the woman’s audacity. How could she do something so awful to her daughter and then pretend that it was for her own good? She wouldn’t let her get away with this.

“Why don’t we take this to the principal’s office and see what he says, shall we?” Susan challenged. She couldn’t let such a horrible woman get away with something like this.

To The Principal

Susan called for Melanie to step out of the classroom, and together, the three of them headed for the principal’s office. Melanie’s damaged hair was still hidden under her beanie, but Susan knew that as soon as the principal saw it, he would be on their side.

Mrs. Mulaney showed no remorse for her actions. She seemed to think that she was in the right, but she was about to suffer the consequences.

Furious

The principal waited for Susan to say her part before he turned to the younger woman. “Mrs. Mulaney, why on earth would you think that you have the right to cut a student’s hair?” He was furious.

“Her hair was messy,” She tried to cover for herself, but it didn’t work. When the principal saw the little girl’s hair, he couldn’t believe what she had done.

An Apology

The awful teacher was forced to apologize to Susan and Melanie in front of the principal before he gave her a warning. If she ever did anything like this again, he would have her fired from the school.

Melanie was still devastated about her hair, but at least she received an apology. Susan made it clear that she would stop at nothing to stand up for her daughter.
