Though Donald Trump has not been charged, the January 6th Committee has been laying out a case that the former president fired up a mob that he knew was armed, and willingly aimed them at Congress and at Mike Pence, with at least willingness and perhaps intent for there to be physical harm done. Now Miles Taylor says it wasn’t the first time Trump wanted to cause chaos, crime, and potentially even deaths, to advance his political cause.
Trump insists that the January 6th Committee is producing nothing but lies, and so far the evidence they’ve produced has not been introduced in a court of law (although there are indications the Department of Justice is examining it too), but Miles Taylor now says that he had to talk Trump out of a previous attempt to use humans as weapons.
In two separate Twitter declarations, the first as a response to Adam Kinzinger, then standing alone, Taylor says that Trump wanted the Department of Homeland Security to bus “murderers and violent criminals” into cities, in order to boost he claim that Democrats were running cesspools of crime.
I had to tell the White House that would be illegal.

Trump has been assuring anyone who will listen that America was better off with him in charge, and allegations of increased crime are just one of his talking points — but according to Taylor, he intended to promote criminal activity, and perhaps even murder, simply directing the location in order to benefit politically.
Taylor says this is among the things that he had to explain the illegality of to Trump during his time in the Department of Homeland Security.
