Mike Huckabee Will Appear on Hannity to Argue Trump is Eligible for 3rd Term

Donald Trump is very popular with Republican voters and many of them would be happy for him to serve forever. The President sometimes jokes about serving longer than 2 terms and these comments get quite a rise out of his most ardent supporters.

On Thursday, one of those ardent Trump supporters and former Arkansas governor, Mike Huckabee, hinted that maybe the President isn’t joking. The father of former Press Secretary, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, will appear on Sean Hannity’s show tonight to argue that Trump should be eligible for a 3rd term.

Huckabee is known to frequently use his Twitter accounts to make jokes and observations. So followers did not know quite what to make of a tweet he posted earlier today.

The former Arkansas governor wrote, “Greatly honored to be asked to chair Donald Trump’s re-election campaign for President in 2024. Gives me lots of time to plan! By then the Dems wil no longer be a political party in America, replaced by the New Whig Party.”

Huckabee’s initial tweet seemingly became more serious with a follow-up message. “I’ll be on Sean Hannity tonight on Fox News at 9PM Eastern time and will explain how Donald Trump will be eligible for a 3rd term due to the illegal attempts by Comey, Dems, and media , et al attempting to oust him as President so that’s why I was named to head up the 2024 re-election,” he wrote.

While it now appears clear that Huckabee was being serious, the White House has yet to comment on the possibility of a 3rd term.
