Sarah Huckabee Sanders sent the Washington DC media into a frenzy with news that she would be resigning her post at the end of the month. Numerous media members celebrated the move as Huckabee was known to be confrontational and not necessarily easy to work with.

One member of the press who celebrated Sander’s upcoming departure was CNN pundit and former Obama adviser, David Axelrod. Appearing on Fox News, Sanders’ Father, Mike Huckabee slammed Axelrod and defended his daughter.
During an appearance on Anderson Cooper’s show, Axelrod pulled no punches when discussing Sander’s legacy. He told the host, “In this job, she was called upon to choose between her fidelity to Trump and her fidelity to the truth, and she chose Trump. If you are the spokesperson for a habitual liar, it’s like being fire marshall for a pyromaniac. It’s not going to end well for you.”
Appearing on Fox News with Martha McCallum, Sanders’ Father and the former Arkansas Governor said of Axelrod, “He’s a better person than that. He knows better. And I’m really shocked and surprised that he would go there to that degree. But again, he’s a CNN contributor. What is he gonna do? They pay people to hate President Trump. That’s what they pay them to do, so I guess he earned that paycheck on that particular segment.”
Huckabee Sanders will be moving back to her native Arkansas upon leaving Washington DC. Her Father hinted that she may look to become Governor of the state. ““It could happen,” said Huckabee. “I tell you this it’s the greatest job in the world.”
