Comedian Michelle Wolf has been an outspoken opponent of the Trump administration, especially since her April speech at the White House correspondents’ dinner. She has taken a lot of heat from Republicans, and even some Democrats feel she has gone a bit too far. With that said, however, there are also plenty of fans who believe that her comical attacks on the Trump administration are just what we need in such tense political times.
One thing is for certain though; Wolf is a fighter who won’t allow those who have different political views than her, bully her into conforming.
This was again seen last night on her Netflix Original show, “The Break with Michelle Wolf“, where she took it upon herself to stand up once again for women’s rights, by comparing the right wing term of “pro-life” to male genitalia.
“’Pro-Life’ is a propaganda term that isn’t real — like ‘healthy ice cream’ and ‘handsome testicles’,” Wolf explained. “These people are anti-abortion, which means they are anti-woman. If these people were actually pro-life, they’d be fighting hard for healthcare, childcare, education, gun control, and protecting the environment.”
While Wolf took quite the comedic approach to defending women’s rights, parts of the segment also took a slightly more serious approach, as Wolf explained, “About one in four women by the age of 45 have had an abortion. And it’s weird that I learned that on a Snapple cap, but it is true which means abortions are super common and the stigma is bullshit.”
