Michelle Obama Would Defeat Trump by 16 Points in 2020, According to Latest Poll
Michelle Obama has given no indication whatsoever that she would even consider running for President in 2020, but according to the latest poll by Axios, she would defeat Trump by double digits if she did decide to jump into the race.
Axios and SurveyMonkey surveyed 9,908 people using two polls and came up with results that are quite astounding for Democrats and especially so for women, when it comes to potential 2020 presidential bids. The results are as follows, in regards to the margin of victory expected between themselves and Donald Trump, if these candidates were to run against him in 2020.
- Michelle Obama – 16 points
- Oprah Winfrey – 14 points
- Joe Biden – 12 points
- Kamala Harris – 11 points
- Amy Klobuchar – 9 points
- Kirsten Gillibrand – 8 points
- Hillary Clinton – 6 points
- Elizabeth Warren – 5 points
- Michael Avenatti – -1 point
While Hillary Clinton would defeat Trump by 6 points, according to this poll, six other women would outperform her.
While 2020 is still a long way off, new candidates could arise in the coming months. For those readers hoping that Michelle Obama runs for office, it is likely that you won’t get that wish.
Last month in a rally in Las Vegas, Former President Barack Obama said that his wife Michelle is “not running for president, but she is out there telling you to vote because the antidote to government by the powerful few is government by the organized, energized many.”
Next on the list? Oprah Winfrey. She too has said that she will not be running in 2020.
