Michelle Obama: I Have Sleepless Nights Because of This

By the time that 2024 is over, Americans will know who the next President of the United States will be. It is overwhelmingly likely that the person will be either Joe Biden or Donald Trump. Knowing the dangers that lie in another Trump presidency, Barack and Michelle Obama are back in the public eye promoting Democrats.

The former First Lady recently did an interview with podcaster Jay Shetty. And Obama outlined why it was so important that Americans reject Donald Trump's attempts to get back into power.

When asked about the dangers of another Trump presidency, Obama responded, "Who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit, it affects us in ways sometimes I think people take for granted. We cannot take this Democracy for granted, and sometimes I worry that we do."

During the interview, Obama discussed how occupying the White House for 8 years affected her and her family. She told Shetty:

"The White House tests you in ways that you never anticipated. And the fact that we came out as a family, as individuals, the four of us, me and our two daughters — that was us,” Obama added. “That was our values, our compassion, our smarts, our strategy, that got us through."
