Former Minnestota Republican Congresswoman and failed 2012 presidential candidate Michele Bachmann had a total meltdown on Monday over President Donald Trump’s election loss to Democrat Joe Biden.
Bachmann, 64, went on a bizarre rant in which she begged God to “take his iron rod” and “smash” the “delusions” of the Demoratic Party’s victories last Tuesday night.
“I ask oh God, that you would take your iron rod, and I ask that you would smash the clay jar of deceit in America,” she blubbered into her cell phone camera.
“Smash the clay jar of delusion in the United States of America. Smash the delusion, Father, of Joe Biden as our president. He is not,” Bachmann crowed.
Biden’s victory was secured on Saturday after he won the battleground states of Pennsylvania and Georgia and their combined 36 Electoral College Votes. Biden also managed to turn Arizona (11 EVs) blue for the first time since 1996.
“Would you take your iron rod and smash the strong delusion that [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) does have her House of Representatives? We don’t know that,” mewled the conservative evangelical extremist.
We do know that. Democrats will retain control of the House. Pelosi will likely serve as Speaker for the next two years.
“Smash it in Jesus name. Smash, Lord, the takeover of the US Senate by [Minority Leader] Chuck Schumer (D-NY),” Bachmann continued. “Smash it with your iron rod.”
Control of the United States Senate, meanwhile, remains uncertain. Two Senate races in Georgia are headed for runoffs in January. If the Democratic candidates manage to unseat the Republican incumbents, the Senate will be split 50-50. Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris would cast tie-breaking votes, essentially giving Democrats a slim majority in Congress’s upper chamber.
If any “clay jars of deceit” were smashed last Tuesday, they contained the Trump era.
