A new report in The Daily Beast says that time may be running out for prosecutors to charge Donald Trump in connection with a $130,000 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels, and Trump’s former fixer is disgusted by the thought.
The payment was made with funds from Trump’s 2016 campaign, which violates federal election laws. Unfortunately, there is a five-year statute of limitations on violations of federal elections law, and the payment was made to Daniels on October 27, 2016.Michael Cohen, who was sentenced to three years in prison on charges related to orchestrating the payment, blasted federal prosecutors for failing to charge Trump. “I’m not surprised. I’m disappointed. In fact, I’m disgusted. I’m disgusted with Republicans, because no matter what their supreme leader elects to do, they justify it and rationalize it,” Cohen told the Daily Beast, adding that he also recalls Democrats saying, “No one is above the law.”
“If, in fact, that adage is true,” Cohen continued, “then Trump, Allen Weisselberg, David Pecker, and others… should have all been indicted and incarcerated as I was.”
Richard Signorelli, a former federal prosecutor in Manhattan, said authorities shouldn’t take any chances on making an arrest. “He should be held accountable as soon as possible. Enough time has passed. The time has come,” Signorelli said.

According to the Daily Beast, the legal scholars they spoke with agreed that the statute of limitations will run out on the five-year anniversary of the hush-money payment. However, others said Trump could be accused of an ongoing conspiracy to violate elections laws, which would push back the deadline for prosecutors to file charges.
So the DOJ has until the 27th to act on the stormy daniels case. Michael cohen gets 3 years for that and trump will get away with it. There seems to be no end to what he's able to get away with. Comeon DOJ, we're so sick of waiting for justice!!!
