Michael Cohen Says Trump Couldn’t Care Less About Working Class People in the Mid-West

Millions upon millions of Americans will vote this fall either via mail or in person. The votes of some of these people, however, will count much more than others. There are around 16 swing states in the country and around 6 of these states will decide who wins the election.

3 of these states, Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania swung just enough in 2016 to hand Donald Trump the election. According to the President’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, the President couldn’t care less about these people who live there.

Cohen discussed Trump’s appeal to these voters in a new book set to be released in September. Referring to the President’s relationship with Russia, he wrote, “What appeared to be collusion was really a confluence of shared interests in harming Hillary Clinton in any way possible, up to and including interfering in the American election — a subject that caused Trump precisely zero unease.”

The former fixer continued, “Everyone other than the ruling class on earth was like an ant, to his way of thinking, their lives meaningless and always subject to the whims of the true rulers of the world…The cosmic joke was that Trump convinced a vast swath of working-class white folks in the Midwest that he cared about their well-being. The truth was that he couldn’t care less.”

Trump will have some work to do on recapturing Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Polling averages have him down in all 3 states. If Biden is to capture all of them, he will more than likely win the 2020 election.
