Michael Cohen Reportedly Enters into Plea Agreement
Former Donald Trump attorney Michael Cohen has reportedly entered into a plea agreement with federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York, in regards to an investigation into possible tax fraud and various banking related matters, according to ABC News.
A hearing is set for Tuesday at 4PM ET, according to Jennifer Jacobs of Bloomberg News, and Kaitlan Collins of CNN reports that Cohen is expected to plead guilty to multiple counts of tax fraud, bank fraud and campaign finance violations. However, the New York Times is reporting that the plea deal is in regards to payments that Cohen made to women on behalf of President Trump, but the deal does not include cooperation.
CNN is reporting that Cohen could face up to 4 years in prison due to plea deal.
