Michael Cohen Had Issues With Mueller’s Testimony
The eyes of many Americans were glued to their television sets yesterday as Robert Mueller testified on his Trump findings. The former Special Counsel was criticized both for his evasiveness and his lack of recall. Both Republicans and Democrats, nevertheless, claimed the testimony vindicated them.
One person who voiced his displeasure over the hearing was Donald Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen. Cohen told CNN that he was upset that Mueller did not reveal more about his findings than what was initially revealed in the report.
The disgraced former lawyers made the comments from the Federal Correctional Institute Otisville in upstate New York. Cohen is currently serving a three year sentence for a number of crimes. During his sentencing, he told the court, “I take full responsibility for each act that I pled guilty to: The personal ones to me and those involving the President of the United States of America.”
Cohen felt that Mueller could have done much more the reveal his findings to the American public. According to Trump’s former attorney, “Mr. Mueller today had the world stage to answer questions regarding obstruction of justice and witness tampering. Sadly, his reluctance just continues to leave the debate open and those responsible free from prosecution … for the moment. The American people deserve more!”
The former attorney did find one silver lining from Mueller’s hearing. He told CNN, “The allegations raised against me in the Steele dossier were blatant lies. At least today’s hearings confirmed this. If our elected officials want more information or clarification they know where to find me.”
