Michael Avenatti Tells Donald Trump Jr. That he Will be Indicted
If Michael Avenatti has an arch nemesis, most would agree that it would be Donald Trump. Avenatti has become the thorn in Trump’s side over the past two years, and it’s probably a good prediction to say that he won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
On Monday afternoon, Donald Trump Jr. mockingly tweeted, “Who else is excited about Avanetti/Weiner 2020?!? It’s gonna be Carlos Dangerous.”
Besides spelling Michael Avenatti’s name incorrectly, Trump Jr. also took a lot of heat for the hypocrisy of the tweet, considering his father, President Trump had donated to Anthony Weiner’s campaign in 2007 and 2010.
It didn’t take Michael Avenatti long to respond, firing back at the President’s son for putting him on an imaginary political ticket with Weiner who is currently serving out a 21-month sentence in prison for sending sexually explicit text messages to a 15-year-old girl.
“Bif: If I were you, the last thing I would be doing is referencing other people getting out of federal prison,” Avenatti responded. “Because after you are indicted, you will likely be passing them on your way in. BTW, they don’t have silver spoons or gold toilets in the joint. Buckle up Buttercup.”
While “Bif” is a reference to the villain Biff Tannen from “Back to the Future”, the most notable remark from this tweet is that Avenatti seems to fully believe that Donald Trump Jr. will be indicted.
While Avenatti doesn’t go as far as saying for what crime he believes Don Jr. will be charged with, it is worth noting that Trump Jr. is caught up in multiple investigations, including Robert Mueller’s probe into Russian election interference as well as Manhattan and New York State investigations into Trump Organization.
