Melania Trump’s Kids Health, Holiday Tweets Don’t Play Well After Georgia Rally
Melania Trump served up a double dose of irony Sunday when she thought it was a good idea to send out a Christmas-themed “Be Best” tweet about kids’ health after appearing mask-less at a campaign rally with her soon-to-be-ex-president husband Donald Trump in Georgia.
Perhaps she thought people wouldn’t remember all the way back to last night when thousands of mask-less rally-goers crowded shoulder-to-shoulder together, cheering, chanting and likely spewing aerosolized droplets from their lungs in what might be known in five to seven days as the “Valdosta super-spreader event.”
The Trumps’ appearance Saturday night was billed as a campaign appearance for GOP senators Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue, but Trump spent most of his time in front of the microphone falsely whining about how a massive conspiracy stole the presidential election from him.
“#BeBest focuses on encouraging children to BE BEST in their individual paths & the importance of positive social, emotional & physical health,” she tweeted, including pictures of handmade ornaments that actually bear somewhat of a resemblance to the coronavirus.

Bragging about the ornaments on White House holiday decorations was the ironic icing, coming from a first lady who told her one-time confidant Stephanie Winston Wolkoff how she really feels about the holiday: “I’m working … my a** off on the Christmas stuff, that you know, who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”
Twitter took note.

Inexplicably undaunted, she followed up with this:
The @WhiteHouse Cross Hall & Grand Foyer overflow with love, joy, peace, hope & faith, revealing the most important gifts of the season. The scene reminds us of the many blessings in our own lives & how grateful we are to call this beautiful land our home. #WHChristmas pic.twitter.com/YuGbxW9XPj

A sampling of reactions:
LOL come on lady. There is not one ounce of love, joy, peace, hope or faith coming from that White House. You don't even like Christmas!
