At one time, Megyn Kelly had a pretty good thing going. She was the star of Fox News and was making millions of dollars each year. But she decided to try to go mainstream, leaving the Conservative network for NBC News.
Kelly’s tenure at NBC was a total dud. Her daily talk show was not well received and she eventually left the network after she defended the use of blackface during a segment.
The former Fox host now hosts a show on SIRIUS/XM where she mostly complains about white people being called racist. During her Wednesday show, she took it a step further by calling Colin Kaepernick a racist who hates America.
Kelly was discussing comments made by the former quarterback about the NFL draft combine. Kaepernick said of the process, “What they don’t want you to understand is what’s being established is a power dynamic. Before they put you on the field, teams poke, prod, and examine you. Searching for any defect that might affect your performance. No boundary respected. No dignity left intact.”
“Colin Kaepernick … he’s insane,” Kelly said. “This is a racist guy. He really is a racist guy and he hates our country. He hates America. It’s just another day that Netflix gives this guy his own special, and I’m like, ‘Well, I guess it’s going to be about how racist America is.’ Turns out it’s how racist Colin Kaepernick is.”
The host continued, “Who made him show up to the NFL Combine? To compare that willing and usually dream come true moment for an NFL football player to slavery? How does this wind up on Netflix?”
