Meghan McCain Says She Won't be Supporting Donald Trump or Kamala Harris

Conservative pundit, host of The View, and frequent Trump critic Meghan McCain said she would not support the Republican candidate for President this fall but would not vote for Kamala Harris either.

McCain's father John was a legendary Republican who once ran for President and was also a fierce critic of Donald Trump. In 2020, McCain's mother Cindy not only supported Joe Biden, but appeared at that year's DNC.

Meghan has remained a Trump critic but won't go as far as supporting his opponent. She wrote on Twitter:

"I greatly respect the wide variety of political opinions of all of my family members and love them all very much. I, however, remain a proud member of the Republican Party and hope for brighter days ahead. (Not voting for Harris or Trump, hope that clears things up)."

Jimmy McCain, a 17-year military veteran and the son of the former senator, said that he changed his registration from Republican to Democrat and revealed that he would be supporting Harris this fall. He has criticized Donald Trump for his recent Arlington National Cemetery stunt, telling CNN this week:

"It just blows me away. These men and women that are laying in the ground there have no choice about being in a political ad. I just think that for anyone who’s done a lot of time in their uniform, they just understand that inherently — that it’s not about you there. It’s about these people who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the name of their country."
