Thanks to the fame of her father, Meghan McCain rose swiftly in the media world. She ended up as the Conservative talking head on The View. She was widely disliked by viewers by her constant tantrums and bratty behavior.

Earlier this year, McCain left he show which led to her notoriety. She now works in a much lower profile gig as a columnist for the Daily Mail.
Fox News’ Howard Kurtz recently wrote a fawning profile of the former View host. And in that profile, McCain says that she left the show due to hostility from her co-hosts.
There was, “toxic, direct and purposeful hostility,” from the two hosts, McCain told Kurtz. As Trump’s tenure went on, it “grew meaner and less forgiving,” and it was, “as if I had become an avatar for everything they hated about the president.”
Kurtz also touched on what he calls the two sides of McCain. She is, “defiant, opinionated, determined, contrarian, won’t be pushed around—and wants you to know it.” The writer continued, “She is also at times angry, depressed, anxious, insecure, bursting with raw emotion—and isn’t hiding that either.”
