Meghan McCain Said Calling COVID-19 The China Virus Was a Great Way for Trump to be Re-Elected. Now She’s Calling for a Stop to Asian Hate
In 2020, Donald Trump had the opportunity to display leadership skills during the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead, he failed at almost every turn even contracting the virus himself.
Since Trump is a sad petty person, he quickly tried to shift blame onto others. One way he did this was by consistently referring to COVID-19 as “the China Virus.” The Biden White House has said that Trump’s messaging has played a large role in the rise of violence against Asians.
Meghan McCain, though, supported Trump’s messaging. The View host said it was a smart way to get himself reelected. Now she is calling for an end to Asian hatred.
The View host posted a picture on her Twitter feed yesterday. It read, “Stop Asian Hate.” McCain also added 3 broken heart emojis.

In March of 2020, though, McCain told viewers, “I agree with you that I think if the left wants to focus on P.C. labeling this virus, it is a great way to get Trump re-elected. I don’t have a problem with people calling it whatever they want. It’s a deadly virus that did originate in Wuhan.”
The Conservative talking head continued, “I don’t have a problem with it, and I think China, had they acted right away, and we had more access to information, maybe it wouldn’t have gotten to the place that it is. That doesn’t mean that we should be, in any way, stereotyping.”
