For several years, Meghan McCain was the Conservative talking head on The View. It wasn’t an easy job, as the other hosts and the audience were largely Liberal. Still, McCain’s entitlement and aggression made her deeply unpopular. She is now working a much lower profile gig writing op-eds for the Daily Mail.
Her column this week was focused on advising Kamala Harris. McCain urged the current Vice President to stop blaming her troubles on being a woman of color. Her column didn’t go over well, and she received the dreaded ratio when she tweeted out a link to her piece.
Talking down to the lawmaker, McCain wrote:
“If I were Vice President Harris and was currently holding historically low approval ratings (as of December 22, the FiveThirtyEight average of polls showed 47% of the American public disapproving of the job she is doing) and had just come off a string of bad press appearances (including being spoken down to by Comedy Central host Charlamagne tha God) I would be doing some serious, aggressive and intense soul searching over my role in the Biden administration before it is truly too late.”
Readers weren’t buying the argument. McCain tweeted out her post, writing, “Woke up this morning, read the New York Times and was inspired to write a little holiday Daily Mail column in response.”
