Kari Lake, a former news anchor and a former Democrat, went full MAGA a couple of years ago. She ran for Governor of the State of Arizona but lost to Democrat Katie Hobbs in 2022. Lake hasn't taken her loss well and still claims there was fraud in her race. She is now seeking an Arizona Senate seat in 2024.
Lake has also made enemies of the family of John McCain, a legendary figure in Republican politics. After the senate hopeful made comments about guns recently, Meghan McCain was quick to respond.
Talking about the next six months, Lake said to supporters the other day, "What do we want to strap on? We're going to strap on our — our seat belt. We're going to put on our helmet or your Kari Lake ball cap. We are going to put on the armor of God. Then, maybe strap on a Glock on the side of us just in case."
McCain linked to a post about Lake's comments, responding:
"This is so irresponsible and dangerous of Kari Lake to say - but what else is new. She tries to cosplay as some badass - but she’s just an ex-Obama supporter with Vaseline slathered all over her camera doing a shitty off-the-strip lounge singer imitation of Kelly Ann Conway."
