Megan Rapinoe Slams White Nationalist Trump, Offers to be Biden’s VP

Joe Biden will soon become the Democratic Presidential candidate once the party is able to hold a convention. And he has said that he would like to have a woman run alongside him. Some of the favorites to become Biden’s Vice President include Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Stacey Abrams.

There is one more famous American female, however, that would also like to throw her hat in the ring. During a recent interview with VICE TV, Rapinoe said she may want to run for office one day and slammed “White Nationalist” Donald Trump.

This wasn’t the first time that the soccer star showed an interest in political office. She said to Biden in April, “I don’t want to put you on the spot — I think I could still play soccer and do this. But if you need a vice president, I’m just saying I’m available for an interview. We can talk logistics and the details. Put it on your list.”

Vice host Anand Giridharadas asked if she was still interested in public office. Rapinoe replied, “I’m not totally shutting the door [to the presidency], but it seems wild.”

The 2019 Golden Ball winner then went in on the President. We have a white nationalist — I think — in the White House,” Rapinoe said. “And, the spewing of hate and the other’ing of the rest of the country has only led to more rife between people and more despair and more anxiety and more fear going forward.”
