Meek, Battered Ted Cruz Finally Responds to Former Colleague’s Constant Insults
John Boehner has been slamming Ted Cruz for years and the Texas senator has finally responded to the criticism.
Ted Cruz has become, perhaps, the biggest whipping boy in all of Washington DC. The senator has frequently embarrassed himself in 2021. He began by helping Donald Trump incite a riot on our nation’s Capitol. He followed that up by fleeing Texas for a tropical vacation while the state was experiencing a weather disaster.
John Boehner hated Ted Cruz long before 2021. The former Republican Speaker of the House said of Cruz in 2016, “Lucifer in the flesh. I have Democrat friends and Republican friends. I get along with almost everyone, but I have never worked with a more miserable son of a bitch in my life.”
And Boehner who has a new book coming out, continued the slams on the Texas senator. He writes, “There is nothing more dangerous than a reckless asshole who thinks he is smarter than everyone else. Ladies and gentlemen, meet Senator Ted Cruz.”
Cruz, who is not known for sticking up for himself, finally made a small attempt this week. The Texas senator took to Twitter, sharing a clip of a Boehner interview and writing, “The Swamp is unhappy. I wear with pride his drunken, bloviated scorn. Please don’t cry.”
The Swamp is unhappy.
I wear with pride his drunken, bloviated scorn.
Please don’t cry. https://t.co/c90Ve2EOGq
