In a recent newsletter, Mary Trump explained why the Harris/Walz campaign's strategy of mocking Donald Trump is working out perfectly.
Donald Trump didn't earn his way to the top of the Republican ticket because he has the best ideas. In fact, Trump knows basically nothing about politics. But thanks to his bruising and aggressive style, he has been able to win 3 primaries over way more capable opponents.
Trump has dispatched his rivals by bullying him. According to his niece, Harris is winning by doing the same thing. She wrote:
"Their rapid-response and press teams are running an edgy presidential campaign that is unique, as far as I know, in modern American political history. It’s the kind of approach that both highlights and exacerbates Donald’s weaknesses. It also makes it impossible for Donald to stay on message and stay away from the kind of personal attacks that his advisors are desperate for him to drop because they’re endangering his reelection bid."
The signs are clear that the Democrats are getting under Trump's skin and he is regularly having meltdowns on Trith Social after one perceived slight or another. Mary Trump closed her column:
"What the Harris and Walz ticket understands is that the best way to take down a bully with the kind of power Donald Trump has, the kind of unimaginable power he hopes to seize, is to mock him and encourage others to laugh at him."
