Mary Trump Describes Her Uncle Sexually Harassing Her, Describing Her Breasts Aloud At Mar-A-Lago
With Mary Trump’s book coming out in a week, many advance copies are floating around, and details are starting to be revealed. Among other revelations, it turns out that Donald Trump’s niece describes a scene of sexual harassment, in which, at Mar-A-Lago, he stopped her to ogle her body and describe her breasts aloud, embarrassing her in front of her family.
According to the Daily Beast, an exerpt from Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man describes a visit to Mar-A-Lago when Mary was 29. Her uncle, Donald Trump, would have been in his late 40s at the time. As Mary arrived to eat lunch, wearing a swimsuit and a pair of shorts, she says Donald looked at her and said, “Holy s**t, Mary. You’re stacked.”
She says that though she wasn’t typically easily embarrassed, her uncle had managed it, making her feel the need to wrap a towel around her body and take mental stock of who in her family had seen her. She wasn’t the only one who found it inappropriate, either — Mara Maples, to whom Trump was still married at the time, slapped his arm and scolded him mildly.
This falls right in line with Trump’s reported (and also self-reported) history of sexual harassment of women. In 2016, Rolling Stone compiled a timeline of Trump’s misbehavior behind the scenes at the Miss Universe pageant. This includes numerous complaints from young women who say he walked in on them when they were changing, and Trump’s own boast to Howard Stern that he did exactly that.
