The newly-elected, highly-controversial, Republican Representative from Georgia has caught the attention of attorney and election conspiracy theorist Lin Wood, and he’s now rallying his fans to oppose her. Marjorie Taylor Greene might support the Big Lie — the false claim that Donald Trump won the 2020 election — but she’s not doing enough to actually overturn the outcome, in Wood’s view.
Greene has no power to undo the votes of Georgians, but Wood is pretty angry that she dared to say so openly. In a long screed posted to his Telegram page, he declared her a traitor, a communist, a supporter of the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) and someone who refuses to do the ‘heavy lifting’ to overturn the 2020 election, which he claims was rigged.
Two screenshots (it’s quite a long rant) below show the entirety of his attack, which closes with a rallying call for anyone who buys into his election conspiracy theories to show up at any event where Greene speaks, and drown her out by shouting “traitor,” “fix it now,” and “communist.”
Wood is citing a Gateway Pundit article in which Greene says that the state should perform an audit, and in turn points her fans towards Secretary Of State Brad Raffensperger to blame — but it’s not enough for Wood.
He’s angry that she didn’t also attack Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, and that she isn’t somehow using her own political power to force an audit (despite the fact that the state already held recounts and even an audit of paper ballots, and found nothing to change the outcome).
What does it mean for Greene? That could depend on how many of her voters buy into Wood’s version of the election fraud fabrication, and decide to turn on her after her first term.
