Man Reportedly Yells ‘Heil Hitler, Heil Trump’ Inside of Baltimore Theatre
People gathered inside of Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre to watch a performance of “Fiddler on the Roof” on Wednesday evening, when, according to Richard Scherr, a contributing sportswriter for the Baltimore Sun, a man stood up at intermission and yelled “’Heil Hitler,’ along with pro-Trump references.”
Video in the aftermath of the incident can be seen below, and it is apparent that attendees were left both confused and scared.

Scherr told the Baltimore Sun that the man yelled “Heil Hitler, Heil Trump.” and that immediately after that, “People started running.”
“I’ll be honest, I was waiting to hear a gunshot. I thought, ‘Here we go,’” Scherr explained.
The man was then escorted out of the theatre and the performance continued, but many in the audience remained on edge. “My heart was just racing,” said Scherr. “I didn’t even really pay attention to the second act.”
The Hippodrome Theatre was built in 1914 and it seats approximately 2300 people. It is unknown how many people were in attendance.
According to a Baltimore Sun review of records, Anti-Semitic incidents that are reported to the Maryland police have increased 47 percent between 2016 and 2017.
