Lunatic Preacher Says That Coronavirus Vaccine Technology Is Like ‘Mark Of The Beast’

Rick Wiles is a horribly anti-Semitic, right-wing preacher who is also in the throes of the Donald Trump fan club. Now, he is an enemy of the technology that could possibly slow down the mitigating of the COVID-19 epidemic.

On the Friday version of his TruNews program, Wiles went on an unhinged rant against philanthropist and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. The tech giant founder had done a recent Reddit “Ask Me Anything” session, in which he promoted the idea of tracking testing and vaccines for the pandemic.

The idea of quantum dot technology, which would be injected to track the medical care, reminded Wiles of the “Mark of the Beast” in the Bible, and to him, that could not be allowed. Wiles ranted:

“When is Bill Gates’ serpent tongue going to come out of his mouth, and when will his horns and tail appear. This man is building Lucifer’s Antichrist system … This guy is an enemy of the human race. This guy is an enemy of Almighty God. Bill Gates is turning out to be one very evil man.”

“Personally, I’d like to tell Bill Gates where he can stick his syringe,” Wiles continued. “Buddy, you are my enemy, and I will stick that syringe so far up your rectum, you’ll cough it out. … I’ll tell Mr. Gates right now, you’re going to have to kill me. You are never going to get me to take your vaccine or your quantum dot. You’ll have to kill me because I will fight you with everything I’ve got. I am not going to give in to Bill Gates or any of these other freaks.”

This sort of thinking is what has always made the Religious Right so dangerous. They eschew technology and medical care, even in the most dire of circumstances, in favor of quackery.

If there is a higher power, certainly such a being would not condone this. Rick Wiles is a dangerous homophobe, transphobe, and anti-Semite, and now he is a dangerous anti-science lunatic with the President’s ear in press briefings when he wants it, as well as a large following.

May his proverbial God help us all.
