For the majority of his career as a talk show host, Mehmet Oz has remained largely apolitical. But he certainly took sa more Conservative turn once COVID-19 began to ravage the country.

Oz frequently appeared on Fox News. At one point, he was widely mocked for saying it might be an acceptable trade off to open schools and lose 2-3% of the nations children. The TV doctor also aggressively pushed hydroxychloroquine.
And now, Oz may be looking to run for an open Pennsylvania senate seat. According to Sean Hannity, the way he handled COVID makes him a good candidate.
During his Monday radio show, the Fox News host opined, “Well, I’m not saying — well, no he’s got — remember he was — he was there saying, “You — you fight COVID with the army you have, not the army you wish you had.”
Hannity continued:
“You know, and he was, and he would stay up. I talked to him at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning in the midst of this– this Adam Schiff show, the worst moments. He was up all night, I was up all night. And he’d wait for Europe to open so he could get anecdotal evidence. “What are you using that’s working?”
And he said, “Okay, we’re seeing some positive results. Zero risk if you use HCQ, hydroxychloroquine. Okay, that’s all we got now.”
