Listen: Rush Limbaugh Says Trump’s RNC About Saving America From a Race War

On Monday night, Donald Trump gave Mark and Patricia McCloskey a platform to speak at the 2020 RNC. The pair have been praised in Conservative circles for pointing assault weapons at peaceful protesters. One night after they spoke, a teenaged vigilante shot 3 people in Kenosha, Wisconsin, killing two of them.

The other nights of the conventin featured people speaking out about how Donald Trump wasn’t a racist and had been done wrong by the media. According to radio host Rush Limbaugh, the point of the event was about Republicans saving America from a race war.

The host began his rant, “I look at the Republican convention, it’s been the most diverse political convention I’ve ever seen, including Democrat conventions. And as I’ve watched it, it has occurred to me, Trump isn’t just running for reelection.”

Limbaugh continued:

“The story that is being told at the Republican National Convention is about saving America. It’s about saving America from a race war that the Democrats are out there actively trying to promote. They’re trying to foment it. They want this country to be Black versus white, immigrant versus native, male versus female. That’s what they want. They want that chaos, they want this constant us-versus-them aspect of daily life.”

The host finished his comments by wondering why people couldn’t see what he does. “He wants everybody to join in this project of making America great again — to restoring America’s greatness, where we had contentment and happiness, and people sought happiness.”
