Lindsey Graham: Showman Donald Trump 'May Not Win This Election' [VIDEO]

During an interview with Kristen Welker on Sunday, Lindsey Graham admitted that Donald Trump probably wouldn't win the election if he couldn't stop focusing on policy over showmanship.

Trump captured the Republican nomination and the White House in 2016 in part because he didn't speak like a typical politician. These days, GOP lawmakers and pundits are begging Trump to get on message so he can appeal to voters who aren't MAGA. Trump has proven time and time again that he is not capable of doing that.

Graham told the host during his appearance on MSNBC's Meet the Press:

"President Trump can win this election. His policies are good for America, and if you have a policy debate for president, he wins. Donald Trump the provocateur, the showman, may not win this election. I’m looking for President Trump to show up in the last 80 days to define what he will do for our country, to fix broken borders, to lower inflation."

As one of Trump's chief apologists, Graham knows there is little chance of a change in Trump's behavior.

Nikk Haley, who challenged Trump for the Republican nomination, has concerns similar to those of Graham. She said earlier this week on Fox News, "The campaign is not going to win talking about crowd sizes. It’s not going to win talking about what race Kamala Harris is. ... Look, this is a winnable election. But you need to focus."
