Lindsey Graham Calls for Congressional Hearings on Troop Withdrawals in Syria and Afghanistan
Moments ago, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham called on Congress to hold hearings on the withdrawal of troops from Syria and Afghanistan.
Graham made his plea via Twitter, saying, “It is imperative Congress hold hearings on withdrawal decision in Syria — and potentially Afghanistan — to understand implications to our national security.”
Graham then followed up this tweet with another one, calling for information from the Pentagon.
Especially we must NOW hear from the Pentagon about the likelihood of the rise of ISIS and the fate of our Kurdish allies in Syria.

Graham has been attacking the president both through the media and on Twitter ever since he announced that ISIS in Syria had been defeated and that the United States would swiftly pull troops from the region.
Yesterday things came to a head when U.S. Secretary of Defense James Mattis stepped down, citing his differences of opinions with the president. The resignation of Mattis has brought more critics to the forefront, both from the Republican and Democratic sides of the aisles.
Lindsey Graham has vowed to tweet back at Trump every time he mentions Syria. Thus far, he has kept his word.
