Lin Wood Announces He’ll Lead Sidney Powell’s Defense In Dominion Suit

Lin Wood, the Trump-supporting attorney who has centered himself in numerous controversies around the election and other right-wing politics, says he’s now jumping into the Dominion Voting Systems case against Sidney Powell — as her defense.

Sidney Powell, who filed cases to overturn the 2020 Presidential Election results in several states, and made public claims about election fraud, is being sued by Dominion Voting Systems for false and defamatory claims about the company, after publicly claiming that their machines changed the election outcome.

Lin Wood, who was not on Donald Trump’s legal team but also filed a lawsuit in Georgia over the election, posted on his telegram channel Friday morning to share that Powell had asked him to defend her.

“Last night, I was honored when Sidney Powell called me and asked me to serve as lead counsel for her in defending the frivolous defamation lawsuit filed against her by Dominion.

I quickly accepted. Get ready to rumble, Dominion. You made a mistake suing Sidney. You are going to pay a heavy price.

Sidney and I will not be intimidated. We will not go quietly in the night.

Hey Dominion, I will see you and your employees and officers soon as truth is pursued and established. I will see you across the table where you will be subjected to a thorough and sifting cross-examination under oath. I know how to deal with legal bullies like you.

Check my record.”

Wood, according to ABA Journal, is already facing challenges to his competency to serve as an attorney. The Georgia state bar has reportedly requested that he submit to a mental health exam following his election lawsuits.

Wood has been placing himself in the public eye to an extreme degree of late, attacking Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts with accusations of pedophilia and corruption, telling Trump supporters in December to get their “second amendment supplies” ready after the election loss.
