During this years State of the Union address, Donald Trump awarded radio host Rush Limbaugh with the Medal of Freedom. The President claimed to be inspired by the host’s battle with stage 4 lung cancer. Critics of Limabugh were aghast as he has a long history of making racist, sexist and homophobic comments over his radio station.
Despite his advanced illness, Limbaugh has yet to stop tweaking his adversaries with offensive comments. During his Wednesday radio broadcast, the host said that Trump would have fun debating gay Democratic presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg.
Limbaugh made the comments while discussing yesterday’s New Hampshire primary. Like in Iowa, the top two vote getters were Bernie Sanders and Pete Buttigieg.
The gleeful host predicted that Trump would have an easy time competing against either man. “So you’re faced with dyed-in-the-wool socialist who’s not even a Democrat,” said Limbaugh. “A gay guy, 37 years old, loves kissing his husband on debate stages. Can you see Trump have fun with that?”
Limbaugh continued to rip into Buttigieg saying, “They’re (Democratic leaders)sitting there and they’re looking at Mayor Pete, 37-year-old gay guy, mayor of South Bend, loves to kiss his husband on the debate stage. And they’re saying, ‘OK, how’s this going to look, 37-year-old gay guy kissing his husband on stage next to Mr. Man Donald Trump? What’s going to happen there?”
The host closed his remarks, “And they got to be looking at that, and they’ve got to be saying, that despite all the great progress and despite all the great wokeness, and despite all the great ground that’s been covered, America’s still not ready to elect a gay guy kissing his husband on the debate stage president.”
