Lawyer For Mike Flynn Accuses Obama Of Knowing About Plot To Frame Client

Former National Security Advisor Micheal Flynn has had the case against him dropped recently by the Justice Department. Now, Flynn’s lawyer is accusing the FBI of framing his client. Furthermore, he is accusing former President Barack Obama of knowing about the scheme. Flynn pleads guilty back in 2017 to the charge of lying to the FBI during the investigation into Russian interference in the U.S. presidential election.

Sidney Powell who is Mike Flynn’s lead attorney had words about the work done by the FBI agents her questioned Flynn. Powell said to Fox News, “These agents specifically schemed and planned with each other how to not tip him off that he was even the person being investigated.” Powell added, “They didn’t want to trigger the slightest suspicion in his mind that he was being investigated or should be concerned about anything. So they kept him relaxed and unguarded deliberately in part of their efforts to set him up and frame him.”

Powell went on to accuse the FBI, former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, and former CIA Director John Brennan of a setup. Powell said the  “whole thing was orchestrated and set up.”  Finally, she roped in Barack Obama saying that he was aware and supported the plot.  Fox News asked if it went all the way up, Powell responded, “all the way up to the top to President Obama,”

Clapper and Brennan are the ones who informed Obama on Russia possibly interfering in America’s elections and informed him of Micheal Flynn’s contact with the Russian Ambassador. The Justice Department has responded by saying that the investigation into Flynn, “was conducted with a legitimate investigative basis.”

Barack Obama also responded to the news of the investigation being dropped. He said that the decision was being “somewhat downplayed.” He went on to say that the decision means that “our basic understanding of rule of law is at risk.”

It will be interesting to see how this decision impacts future politics.
