In 2020, Lauren Boebert shockingly won the Republican primary for Colorado's 3rd District, defeating incumbent Scott Tipton. Since the district is deep red, she easily won the general election by slightly less than 6 percent.
The Conservative quickly become one of the most despised lawmakers in the country. By the time she was up for election again in 2022, she only won by 546 votes to Democrat Adam Frisch.
Democrats across the country see blood in the water and have donated huge money to Frisch's campaign. For that reason, Boebert has left the district and is seeking the nomination for District 4, and even redder area.
She explained to Steve Bannon, "There has been close to $10 million poured into this district to buy this seat. Colorado's 3rd District is not for sale."
Boebert then complained:
"When you have Barbra Streisand coming in and donating to the Democrat when you have Ryan Reynolds coming in and donating to the Democrat, it shows you that Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress."
The spot in District 4 was opened when Republican Ken Buck announced his retirement. Buck has been heavily criticized by his peers for not being far-right enough. Boebert will likely be able to win this seat, but Colorado's District 3 could still go Democrat.
