Lara Trump: Joe Biden’s Decision to Pick a Female Running Mate Was Insulting

Donald Trump likes to give his kids jobs within his campaign. This also extends to the people who choose to marry his children. Jared Kushner is the most obvious example, as the President has asked him to do everything from creating peace in the Middle East to responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lara, the wife of Eric Trump, has also been given a job within the campaign. The President’s daughter-in-law is tasked with getting out the female vote. She certainly alienated herself from some of those female targets on Sunday when she said Joe Biden’s decision to pick a female running mate was “insulting.”

Lara Trump made the comments while speaking with Fox News’ Jeannine Pirro. She told the host, “I have found it very interesting that the mainstream media and the people on the left think that the women in this country, Judge Jeanine, are stupid.”

The President’s daughter-in-law continued, “Apparently, they forgot that the identity politics they tried to play in 2016, when they suggested that women should vote for someone named Hillary Clinton because she was a woman, didn’t work then, it’s not going to work now.”

Trump closed her comments:

“I for one was insulted when months ago Joe Biden came out and he said, ‘Guess what? It’s going to be a woman who’s my running mate.’ Let’s not worry about qualifications, let’s not worry about what they bring to the table. If these people want to stand up for equality, people in this country will never be fully equal in their eyes until they stop pandering for votes and playing identity politics. It didn’t even matter who it was going to be. Women were already insulted.”
