A video taken in Lancaster, Pennsylvania has gone viral this afternoon, after Lancaster police used a taser on what appeared to be an unarmed, non-violent African American man, who looked to be complying with the officer’s demands. As you can see from the video, the man, now identified as 27-year-old Sean Williams, was not resisting arrest, was not violent, and seemed to be following the officer’s direct orders, when out of nowhere, the officer decided to use his taser on him.
Danene Sorace, the mayor of Lancaster, has responded to the video after it went viral earlier today:
“Like you, when I saw the video I was upset by it and it is of great concern to me. We take the use of force very seriously”.

This police officer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania should be fired immediately. After he is fired, the District Attorney should immediately press charges for criminal assault.
