Between her Las Vegas concert residency and a starring role in a hit movie, Lady Gaga has been all over the place. On Saturday night, she decided to use her exposure to criticize Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.
The singer paused during her song, A Million Reasons, to take a shot at the president. She proclaimed, “If the f*cking president of the United States could please put our government back … there are people who live paycheck to paycheck and need their money.”
“And to Mike Pence, who thinks its acceptable that his wife works at a school that bans LGBTQ – you’re wrong. You say we should not discriminate against Christianity. You are the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian. I am a Christian woman, and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace, Mr. Pence, and you can look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”
Lady Gaga isn’t the first celebrity to speak out against the government shutdown. Snoop Dogg and Cardi B also made their feelings known in now viral videos. In solidarity with Gaga, Cardi B posted lyrics from the singer’s hit song ‘Monster’ on her twitter feed. The post read, “He ate my heart and then he ate my brain.
