Kyle Rittenhouse’s Attorney Threatens Legal Action Against Joe Biden For Post Against White Supremacy
Lin Wood, one of the attorneys representing Kyle Rittenhouse, is demanding that Joe Biden retract statements about white supremacy, because he says they interfere with his client’s legal rights. Biden tweeted a short clip that included images of white supremacist groups and right-wing militias, with a sound bite from the debate, in which Donald Trump refused to condemn these groups.

Trump was asked to condemn white supremacists and militia groups, and ask them not to add to the violence, as was seen in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He refused to do so, instead saying to “Stand back and stand by.” Joe Biden’s ad rehashed this, while showing clips from the white supremacist Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville in 2017, and an image of Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha.
There’s no other way to put it: the President of the United States refused to disavow white supremacists on the debate stage last night. pic.twitter.com/Q3VZTW1vUV

Rittenhouse has been associated with the militia group ‘Kenosha Guard,’ and the question specifically addressed increased violence where militia groups show up at protests for social justice and anti-racism.
Wood used a screenshot that suggests Rittenhouse was being associated specifically with the words “white supremacist,” rather than a broader group of white supremacists and militia members, and to violence at anti-racism protests. He declared that there will be a formal demand for Biden’s team to retract statements accusing Rittenhouse of being “a white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha.”
Formal demand for public retraction is being prepared for Biden/Harris Campaign on behalf of Kyle Rittenhouse.
I also hereby demand that @JoeBiden immediately retract his false accusation that Kyle is a white supremacist & militia member responsible for violence in Kenosha. pic.twitter.com/GrZyE8nI7Z

On behalf of Kyle Rittenhouse, I shall sue @JoeBiden & Biden/Harris Campaign for libel.
I am partisan in 20/20 supporting @realDonaldTrump.
I am non-partisan trial lawyer who aggressively pursues truth to achieve justice.
Put in your hearing aid, Joe. You will hear footsteps.

He also rehashed the well-debunked claims that Biden used some sort of earpiece to be fed lines for the debate, further dramatizing the conspiracy theory with a bizarre line about “computer contact lenses.”
When I take @JoeBiden deposition on cross-examination, no wire or computer contact lenses will save him.
I will rip Joe into shreds. Ask witnesses who have had the misfortune of sitting across the table from me under oath.
You don’t mess with my children, my pup, or my clients.

Rittenhouse is charged with murder in the case of two protestors, who he is alleged to have shot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, when patrolling the streets with a long rifle during protests for racial justice.
