In 2016, James Comey brought the Hillary Clinton email scandal back into the American consciousness days before the election. With poll numbers in terrible shape, Donald Trump is hoping for the same kind of miracle for his flailing campaign. His sometimes lawyer has tried to manufacture one by collaborating with the New York Post on an insane Hunter Biden theory.Outside of Conservative circles, though, no one is buying it. Twitter and Facebook even made the move to flag the article and pull it down. Twitter took it a step further on Wednesday when they locked out the account of White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
Not much has been heard from McEnany since she tested positive for the coronavirus a few weeks back. She was at least online today, though, pushing the controversial New York Times article. And for that, she was flagged.
Twitter says of McEnany’s tweet, “We have determined that this account violated the Twitter Rules.”
The website has asked McEnany to delete the tweet, but she has refused to do so. She told the New York Post, “This is a story reported by the New York Post and Fox News with the Biden campaign notably not disputing the authenticity of the emails. I will not comply with censoring reporting that may not fit the ideology of Silicon Valley. This is abominable and not the American way.”
