Kanye West Stands By His Friendship With Donald Trump
Donald Trump likes to be around celebrities and have their support. The President has, time and time again, bragged about his relationships with the nation’s stars. The majority of Trump’s celebrity fans tend to be d-listers like Scott Baio and Antonio Sabato Jr.
There is one major star who is willing to be vocal about his support for Trump and his administration: Kanye West. During a recent interview with The Wall St. Journal Magazine, West reaffirmed his support for the President.
In April of 2018, West tweeted, “You don’t have to agree with trump but the mob can’t make me not love him. We are both dragon energy. He is my brother. I love everyone. I don’t agree with everything anyone does. That’s what makes us individuals. And we have the right to independent thought.”

He talked about Trump in a similar way during the interview. “I’m a black guy with a red [MAGA] hat, can you imagine,” asked the rapper?
West continued, saying of the pair’s friendship, “[It] Reminded me of how I felt as a black guy before I was famous, when I would walk in a restaurant and people would look at you like you were going to steal something. ‘This is your place, Ye, don’t talk about apparel. This is your place, Ye, you’re black, so you’re a Democrat.'”
