Kamala Harris has recently added some jet fuel to her campaign for the 2020 Democratic nomination. She earned positive reviews for her attack on presumptive favorite, Joe Biden, during the first of the Democratic debates. Thanks to that positive performance, she has seen a steady uptick in her poll numbers.
While Harris will spar with her competitors for the nomination, she also must keep her eyes on the Republican party. During an event in Iowa yesterday, the California Senator referred to President Donald Trump as “a predator.”
“I know predators and we have a predator living in the White House,” said Harris. “Donald Trump has predatory nature and predatory instincts. The thing about predators is that they prey on the vulnerable. They prey on those who they do not believe are strong. The thing about predators you must importantly know [is] predators are cowards.”

This isn’t the first time Harris has made this claim about the President. She noted that as a former prosecutor, he experience would make her the ideal candidate to take on Trump. “I know how to take on predators,” Harris continued. “We need somebody on our stage, when it comes time for that general election, who knows how to recognize a rap sheet when they see it and prosecute the case.”
The Trump Administration and family has seemingly deduced that Harris is a real contender for the nomination. The President’s son, Donald Trump Jr., faced heavy criticism over the weekend when he retweeted a user who called Harris’ ethnicity into question.
