Kamala Harris made fun of Donald Trump via Twitter on Saturday after it was revealed that Team Trump had agreed to debate rules to mute his microphone.
Back in 2020, Donald Trump made a mockery his debate with Joe Biden by repeatedly interrupting and talking over his then-opponent. So in Biden's first debate, Democrats asked that Trump's microphone be muted when he was speaking and the Republicans agreed.
Kamala Harris's team is thinking differently. They know that if Trump has a live microphone, he will likely make a fool of himself and her team is fighting to leave it on. Trump's team, though, has recently agreed to terms that would have Trump's microphone cut.
The Washington Post's Josh Dawsey wrote, "Trump campaign has accepted these rules, per Tuesday email to ABC reviewed by the Post. Kamala Harris's campaign has not yet accepted these rules, as they seek to unmute the microphones for the entire debate. Debate is in less than two weeks."
The Vice President shared Dawsey's message and responded: "Donald Trump is surrendering to his advisors who won't allow him to debate with a live microphone. If his own team doesn't have confidence in him, the American people definitely can’t. We are running for President of the United States. Let’s debate in a transparent way—with the microphones on the whole time."
